Leaving this Country.

I am back again. With my thoughts. It’s crazy how I can easily get influenced by people and things. Is it curiosity? I wish not to use Grammerly and.. Ah, who am I deceiving? Anyways, You know, yesterday we went to the airport to farewell Suana for her new journey to the land of freedom. America! Fuck yeah! At the airport, I noticed lots of people leaving the country. I think the final destination for any young Nepali is the airport. The journey of almost all Neplease ends at the international airport and starts somewhere abroad. Damn! I see many people crying and sobbing. Their eyes filled with tears as they hugged their family for a final goodbye. There was this one particular man who seemed to be in Kathmandu just to farewell his son. Man! I have never seen a father wiping tears of his son as he tells him goodbye. The father was left motionless for seven minutes, trying to process the situation. He didn’t cry though. I know he wants to so bad but there were no tears, just a blankness but his eyes tell a different story. He might think tears are for weak men or he has built himself so strong emotionally that he has forgotten to cry. I kept looking in his direction for time and again and he was still there. A thin old man wearing a dhaka topi and Daura surwal, helplessly watching his son leave his country.

Aaba ko kei barsa ma ta khali hunxa yo desh. What the fuck is going on? K ho sarkar ko plan? Corruption everywhere. Damn! No parents want to see their children leave their side let alone leave the country. Parents are getting lonely, houses are getting empty and there’s nothing one can do. Someone to do the job to sacrifice their lives and future for the betterment of Nepal and fellow Neplease. Someone has to fight, to guide the youth, or else, there will be no one left to build the future. I don’t see the future of Nepal like this. That someone could be me but I alone cannot do it. We need to unite and rise. I know It’s easier said than done but we need to start from somewhere. Creating job opportunities and a better education system than Tribhuvan University should be our primary goal for now.

Call for action and make an impact. But you know. Money talks. People in power would do whatever in their might to be in power. We are but a bunch of hungry hyenas and it only takes some amount of wealth to change our goals. Just like the song “Waiting for the World to Change” by John Mayer. Our grandparents left for war to fight for the country and now, we are leaving the nation to fight for our future. History repeats itself to feed the needs of people.
